The evening of February the 6th at Cafe Nim was spent focusing on Palestine. The conflict and suffering in the region is by all means a matter of political entanglement and apathy. However, there is a strong religious undercurrent which is often left out in discussions. A liberal Christian association of students in Trondheim called Trondheimsforbundet hosted the evening in order raise awareness about the Kairos Document which appeals to the Christian communities throughout the world to empathise with and support the Palestinian struggle. Presentations included a talk by the student priest Rev. April Maja Almaas and Ann-Elen Storhaug who visited the Palestinian territory with Norges Kristelige Studentforbundet. One of the main ideas that came up during the discussion was that supporting the Palestinian independence are well justified on both Christian as well as Humanitarian grounds .
